AVGIDSAgent.exe is the identity protection aspect of AVG anti virus that was added in the 2011 version. If you using an alternative web browser like chrome or firefox and scan every .exe file before you install it you simply wont have a need to have all of these background services running. When you are installing things you're not completely sure about go ahead and turn the active protection back on but for me personally I hate having all of those things running in the background all the time.
