vmware-tray.exe is VMWare Workstation which shows up only when you have one or more virtual machines actually running. I am a big fan of VMware since you can quickly test things on systems that you can just DELETE to get rid of. I frequently screw around with some pretty nasty malware using it without endangering a real system.
