| XweAponX | Adobe LM Service allows Adobe Inc to Rlogin into your system and snoop into your Photoshop installation, checking things like Product Registration and also induce remote printing.
There was one instance where they used Adobe LM to remote-print the last document in my Photoshop MRU list- What gave it away was that I had just cleared all the recently printed documents from the delivery tray of my printer- When I returned a fresh copy of a Photoshop document had been printed.
Upon checking my event log, it showed the exact time when Adobe LM Service started, and then stopped, and the Allowed log in Peer Guartian showed the allowed connection IP address as belonging to Adobe.
Therefore, I made a task that starts ever 15 minutes, that seeks out AdobeLMsvc.exe... Stops it, then deletes it.
Every time you reboot, the Photoshop automatically reinstalls the service... The service can NOT be deleted using SC delete - The service resists disabling and shutting down through Services.msc - Use Task Manager to shut off "AdobeLMsvc.exe" until a more permanent fix is found for this insidious parasite. | |
