Nvidia Control Panel - NvCpl.dll

What does it do?
NvCpl.dll - This is loaded as a startup item. This loads the Nvidia Control Panel which is where you can tweak a ton of settings and overclock your card. Without this your drivers will be rather messed up and may or may not work properly.

This is a windows startup item.? If you're looking at your HJT log you will see a line that looks something like this:
O4 - HKLM..Run: [NvCplDaemon] RUNDLL32.EXE C:WINDOWSsystem32NvCpl.dll,NvStartup

malinok, but what do i do with the error message "error loading C:Windows/system32/NvCpl.dll" I ran a virus scan by kaspersky and didnt find nothing... Plz help
RicThe control panel itself is not needed but it is better not to delete this file because it may be used by Nvidia drivers

nameThe main reason you get that error message is because Windows indexed it then later on you pc preformed a scan disk check and deleted it reason for the delete is because you or something edit or made a new bootcfg file and windows ran a check and deleted it
anonI'm pretty sure this exe and related .dlls are what's causing my PC to BSOD every time I shutdown, gaaah.
