ashMaiSv.exe is an executable file that is included with the avast! anti virus program
What does it do?

only occasionally, avast! watches your connection and tries to perform
the update when you are online.

| Kamil | When I run HJT my log shows that ashMaiSv.exe and ashWebSv.exe files are missing. I downloaded the last version of Avast 4 Home and re-installed but the same messages appeared. Does it mean that my PC is unprotected?
