Giff Maxtor OneTouch Backup - SYNCSERVICES.EXE SyncServices.exe will appear in your c:Program FilesMaxtorOneTouchUtils or Sync folder. It installs with the drivers for the Maxtor external Firewire (1394) and USB 2.0 Combo Drives such as the Maxtor OneTouch4. According to Maxtor, "Just press a button and the Maxtor OneTouch drive will make backup copies of your files from your internal drive." If you use this functionality, leave this file in place. If you are just using the Maxtor External USB Hard Drive as a storage drive alone and not needing this One Touch Service, (added by the included installed software Maxtor Manager with the drive), SyncServices.exe can be removed from Task Manager or Windows Services with no ill affects.
