I don't know if it is in and of itself a twain driver but I do know that you have to use it for the scanner to even work at all - Addendum - This process is generally reflected by an Icon in the system tray that looks like a white rectangle passing through a thinner blue one. If you right click on it, it will allow you to exit the driver. Also you can take it out of start up files and run it on demand, as needed, from the paperport folder in program files. I sent a shortcut to my desktop for this and then moved it into my quick launch bar. Weh it is active the Icon will show and it will have either a tiny green dot to show all is well, yellow if there is a problem that needs your attention or red if it can't find the scanner. | |
